Amazon Books Emojis

Illustration master, Dan Woodger was approached by agency Droga5 and Amazon to address the gap in reading emojis, encouraging people to read more. The collection of emojis shows a range of reading scenarios, from frightening horror, tense thrillers and sad tearjerkers, all illustrated in Dan’s signature style. The designs were also created in 3D for large-scale OOH billboards.

Working on a small scale, Dan used his trademark, retro style to create a variety of different emojis for people to use to express reading. These fun, character-filled emojis capture the ups & downs of a good read while also showing a mix of reading characters in different skin tones.
