HelloWork

Laura crafted a series animated short films for Hellowork which aims to assist people in finding jobs, showcasing the ease of their platform through characterful design. A two campaign series with the brand and co-directed with Device, Laura designed and expanded the worlds of three vibrant and charming characters.

Infused with soft, rounded elements the films are lighthearted and warm, incorporating a stop-motion influence to the design, a trademark of Laura’s animation style.

Following the first campaign, Laura and Device returned to co-direct a second campaign showing the happy characters on the job hunt in new dynamic environments.

Brief

Approached alongside Device to create three distinct characters and build worlds around them, the HelloWork series of films explores the ease of using the platform to find a job in comedic scenarios and minimalist style. Designed to reflect the seamless flow of finding a job through HelloWork, each film has a distinctly handmade feel.

Acting as co-director, art director and 3D modeller for the campaigns, Laura brought to the films her passion for modern and soft 3D aesthetics.

Design

Quirky characters come to life in the HelloWork series where the three characters each have their own unique personalities and design, with bold and exaggerated movements.

Each character was assigned a personality profile to be shown through their physical quirks, outfit choices and their environments. From cozy home interiors, to lakes at sunset each film is designed with meticulous attention to detail.
