Bloom & Wild

Kelly Anna worked directly with flower subscription service Bloom & Wild to create a limited-edition design celebrating peony season.

Kelly-Anna used her bold illustrative style to emphasise the abundant blooms, infusing a sense of movement into the designs, which were used for the release of exclusive vases, gift cards and Ocelot chocolate bars. Collaborating with the Bloom & Wild team, Kelly-Anna worked to create an elegant vase that perfectly compliments the peony bouquets while reflecting her empowering trademark style.

I have always wanted to create a vase so this was the perfect opportunity as I love Bloom & Wild. I love to have fresh flowers in the house and peonies are always a go-to choice, they can be so bold but elegant.

On her design process:

My process for any piece always starts with books and lots of sketching. I have a studio full of reference books and will often visit libraries and book shops for a browse. My designs always start with pencil and paper and images are only moved onto a digital format when the ideas are fully formed. It might not be the fastest way of working but it’s the way I stay most inspired.
